Isa Felder – Brazilian, holds a degree in journalism from the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A professional who has worked in Brazil and Switzerland for 20 years in the field of communication. Isa holds a certificate in the pedagogical field from SVEB and has studied translation at the Schule für Angewandte Linguistik (SAL). She has worked as a language teacher, translator and proof-reader for several institutions in Switzerland and since September 2017 has been the president of the World Language School association – as well as its PR. She teaches German for beginners at the association.
Nelson Adao – Born in Angola, Nelson moved to France with his family when he was 2 years old. At the age of 11 he moved to Switzerland. Nelson completed a Kaufmännische Ausbildung (commercial apprenticeship). He holds a Bachelor Degree in Literature from the Schule für Angewandte Linguistik (SAL). Currently Nelson works as a German and French teacher for adults in several language schools in Switzerland. Since 2017, Nelson has been the vice-president at the World Language School association as well as its treasurer. He teaches German and French at the association.
Andréa Vedovato Berchtold – Brazilian, holds a degree in Pedagogy from the Universidade Católica de Santos (UNISANTOS), São Paulo, Brazil. She also holds 2 Proficiency Certificates: TOEFL (Test of English as a Second Language) and Michigan (Proficiency Certificate issued by the University of Michigan – USA). Andréa has 18 years of experience as an English teacher, teaching students of all ages and levels and has also worked for 4 years as the Educational manager in 2 branches of a well-known language school chain in Brazil. Currently Andréa teaches English at the World Language School.
Barbara Ballester – she was born in USA, grew up in Argentina and moved to Switzerland in 1995. She holds a master’s degree in Psychology from the Universität Zürich as well as a degree in Spanish language and literature from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (Arg.) and a Music degree from the Conservatorio Provincial Felix T. Garzón in Córdoba, (Arg.). She started teaching children and adults at a very young age, both in individual classes and groups, developing a profound love for teaching and learning throughout the last 30 years. She has three children and is a passionate reader and cook. Currently she teaches piano and music theory and has recently joined the team at the World Language School for teaching Spanish and German.
Simon Diethelm – Swiss, holds the Cambridge proficiency Diploma and DALF C2. A professional Teacher with work experience at various Schools in Zürich (Zürcher Hochschulamt since 2018). Studied intercultural Communications ICC at the pedagogic Institute PHZH in Zürich. Integrative and adaptive teaching experience as Crewmember of the historic Bark “Salomon” (Stiftung Jugendschiffe Schweiz). Member of the Teambuilding Department at Teambuilding Events “Kletterpark Gründenmoos” St. Gallen. A teacher with a wide range of didactic and methodical experiences. A fluent speaker of German, English, French, Spanish and the universal language of Music. His favourite Quote:

Chiara Licci – With Italian descendance, Chiara was born and raised in Switzerland and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish and Italian Literature and Linguistics from the University of Zurich, where she is currently continuing her Master Studies. She is fascinated by art and literature and in her free time, she loves drawing and dancing. For 6 years she works in a tutoring school, where she supports students in a variety of subjects such as German, French, English and Mathematics and also teaches Gymi preparatory courses. She has been working as a Tutor for Literature Seminars at the University for a year now. Recently she joined our WLS team as a German, Spanish and Italian teacher.
